👉 Pádraic and Colm are two lifelong friends who find themselves at an impasse when Colm unexpectedly ends their friendship. A stunned Pádraic, aided by his sister Siobhán and troubled young islander Dominic, struggles to mend the relationship, refusing to take no for an answer. But Pádraic’s repeated efforts only strengthen his former friend’s resolve, and when Colm gives him a desperate ultimatum, events quickly escalate, with shocking consequences.

👉 Inisherin is a small island next to Ireland. A small community in which life takes place apart from the rest of the world. We are in the early 20th century and although from time to time there are the sounds of the explosions of the civil war that is being waged just on the other side of the strip of water that separates it from Ireland, these are things that do not affect them. A community that McDonagh presents in an agile and fun way at the beginning of the film: Padraig’s sister, the owner of the club, the policeman, his son, the priest, a mysterious old woman who acts like an oracle, Colm’s dog, the donkey by Padraig… all of them perfectly interpreted by an irreproachable cast.

👉 Souls in pain in Inisherin talks about a friendship. Or more precisely the end of a friendship. Padraig’s (Colin Farrell) and Colm’s (Brendan Gleeson). Suddenly the latter has stopped speaking to the former. One day he decides to stop going to his daily date at the local pub to have a few pints and talk about his things. This fact will generate a domino effect throughout the community that will be more affected by this fact than by the civil war that will decide the future of their country.
